Being Young Means Being...(Insert Emotion Here)

Well, I'm back! What a week it's been! It's been one thing after another, but it's obviously a good thing that I have been working recently. Of course, that means I do have a lot to describe though-_- Well, here goes nothing:

Monday: I begrudingly wake up at 5:00 in the morning. I have minutes to kill before I leave, so I read some Manga and just wait it out until 6:25. I get to work about 7:55. I dreamily assume that because I've been off a month and a few weeks that I would be eased back in...no sir, no madam. I get worked to the bone right away, setting up projectors, taping wires, moving things from one building into another building. Then by break time, I'm already looking to go home. But I stay a few more hours and leave at 3:30 P.M. I stopped by Borders to buy Hikaru No Go Vol 4, then I head home. Once I'm home, I take my shower and eat my dinner. Then it's writing time! I went over my Untitled story for about three hours, and came up with the concept for the next Arc. After that it was time for bed.

Tuesday: I wake up at the same time I did Monday. I did the same things I did to kill time, except I wrote a new flash fiction that currently does not have a home. I haven't even written it on the computer yet, so there's still work to be done with that. I got to work ten minutes early though. Tuesday was First Year Orientation, where Freshman stay over for three days and two nights. I remember doing that last year, and now I know how crazy the set ups are-_- Let's just say that I found myself in worser shape than I did when I came back home, and I had to stay an extra 30 minutes, so I worked until 4 P.M. Before I forget, I met two new workers: Marlon and Rachel. They will now join the suffering line.  I took my shower and ate my dinner, but I didn't start any story writing until 7:15-7:30. When I did begin to write, I started writing the first chapter of the Bad Apple Arc for Sunday at BMN. I've came up with a general idea for the first two chapters, and I hope I can come up with more for this coming Tuesday. Then once I felt satisfied with that I went over my untitled story. At this point I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a long story or wrap it up. I'm stuck with 110 pages. But that was to be resolved for another day as I went to bed.

Wednesday: I really wanted to get up and go over a bunch of stories, but Tuesday took a lot out of me and I couldn't get up-_- I woke up around 5:50 instead of 5:00, which wasn't going to make me late from work, but joy oh joy, I need to get up at the time I suggest. I got to work on time, and immediately I had to help with a set up that involved using three projectors, some sort of video enhancer that allows all three projectors to show the same thing, and get it done by 9:00. Technically we finished around that time, except the students walked in around 8:45, so we were really rushing to get everything set up right. The rest of day involved more of the same moving things around, setting things up. I got to leave out when I was supposed to though. I went straight home, took my shower and made spagetti for dinner, then got to work on writing. I have one good news and two bad news: the good news was I became inspired to go over Fear again. The bad news was...I had to do some editing. Fear was one of the cuts. It pained me to do it, because I liked that idea, but the Fear/Courage thing had to go-_- I think the way the plot is constructed made it difficult to incorporate that idea. I'll have to try and use it the next time I do Fear again. At this point I debated coming up with another name for the novel...

The second bad news was I didn't feel like writing Origin today. The only thing I did was draw him. I'll upload it on the Great_Origin site, but I really need to write it. After going over the plot, I wondered 'what the heck did I do to deserve this?' I challenged myself by deciding to come up with an long and who knows when it ends serial, but now I started regretting ever thinking about it. I'm close to putting Origin on a slight delay, but at this point I haven't decided. Anyways, after three hours of writing and drawing, I went to sleep.

Thursday: I not only woke up at 5, I went over my "searching for a title" novel. In terms of editing, blood was shed--

    AnimeBlood

No seriously, I literally had to kill some elements of my story. Ok, so maybe using this photo is extreme, but I got my point across. I did this for about an hour before leaving to work. At work, it started out the same: set up for the morning, bring things to certain places...then the afternoon came. At this point, the orientation is over. Yeah, so it's back to a summer malaise of people not requesting anything. All I did the rest of the day was break stuff down and bring them back to the office. Then it was around 2:25 when by Boss asked me:

Boss: What can you do...I can't think of anything...you know, I bet no one broke down Pope Lecture Hall--

Zero: I already did it boss.

Boss: ....I can't think of anything that needs to be done...ok, go home.

    Zero:...Huh?

Yeah, I got sent home early. Well, somewhat. I didn't leave the office until 3:06 P.M because I was trying to sign my time sheet (we have to use it online now. Two words: EPIC. FAIL -__-) So I decided when I got back to NY, I was going to go to Borders. Which is what I did. I just read some manga like Bleach and Rurouni Kenshin (Just the Author/Artist's notes--they're usually pretty funny and insightful) When I got home, since I don't work on Fridays, I didn't need to worry about taking a shower just yet, although I ate dinner. The rest of the night was filled with me going over my story, which now has a title, but I'm not going to say it until it gets published. I still couldn't decide whether to take an extra break from writing Origin or not. Anyways, I went to bed around 2

Today: I woke at 9:00, and finished editing my story. As it turned out, there wasn't as many cuts as I thought. I had over 65,000 words at the start of the novel; around the end I had just above 59,000. But I had to read it over again (I'll probably be doing this a lot) so I can make sure it all makes sense and also catch some mistakes. I did this until 1:00, where I had to get dressed and head to Grandmas. I guess my break finally's here huh? Ok, maybe not so much because after this I plan on going over the story again^^ and maybe I can get a synopsis done by tonight while I'm at it, but I doubt it.

    Wow...that was some week, huh?

  • Rinas and Courage (Period #4)

“Oh, boy…I’m not feeling too good...” said a queasy Rinas while walking in a shady part of Manhattan.

“Well…” said Courage with concern, “You did not have to do this!”

“Well, I already decided to do it. Too late to turn back now. Besides, I feel physically fine. It’s just this area right here…it’s all disgusting and I’m sure a great place where gangs make their business.”

“…Just deal with it, then. One of the statues is up ahead somewhere.”

“Oh yeah, I meant to ask you…what are these three statues?”

“…The three Statues of Bethumet. They are a rare and powerful artifact in my Bethumet. They symbolize the three gods that our legends speak of: Arcadia, Takneo, and Bethumet. Arcadia was a god that controlled the souls who went to hell, and punished them for harming the world. Based on what my master, Shade Rivenwald, told me, Takneo was a powerful god who trained only the purest and worthy souls during the early stages of Bethumet.

As for Bethumet…that bastard…” A puzzled look arose on Rinas’s face. “He was said to have created our world. That would mean that he created our foreboding purple skies, our ever changing clouds, our desire to fight each other with no rhyme or reason; in other words, to make me and the people of Bethumet to suffer.”

    “So…you don’t pray to him?”

“…Don’t be absurd. I don’t even know if these gods exist. Takneo I can believe a bit because I trust the word of my master, but I wouldn’t even pray to him. You won’t see me praying to a rock anytime soon.” Rinas laughed.

“Well, at least my God is nothing compared to your gods!”

    “So, you have gods, too?”

“I have one God. And unlike you, I have a belief in mine.” The two managed to see a strange colored mansion once they exited the shady part of the area. “Huh. Never thought I’d see this here.”

“It’s not real. This area must not have been in use, or whoever had that household is really weak because one of the statues has control over it.” She appeared in front of Rinas. “This…this is it. From this point on, you will have to risk your life to save two characters who don’t belong here. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you alive, but I will be glad to go back to Genesis and head back to my time the painful way.” Rinas, without even thinking about it, walked past Courage. “…You’re so stubborn.” Rinas smiled.

“I know. Now, let’s go!” They walked into the mansion. The inside looked ghastly and decrepit; it felt as if one step would cause the place to crumble.”

“This is one of the statue’s tricks. Don’t feel overwhelmed Rinas. Now let’s look around.” Rinas searched upstairs, downstairs, and searched for hours but couldn’t see it. “Well…Genesis said it was here…?!” Rinas hid behind a wall.

“What’s wr—” Rinas told Courage to be quiet. A strange looking sentry covered with heavy slowly walked by them. “Very smart. I’m glad you stopped me. That sentry is a part of my world, and highly unpredictable. I think we should sneak up on it…”

“Courage, you missed it, didn’t you?” Courage was perplexed. “It was holding some sort of stone!”

“What? I wonder why it would need that?”

“I don’t know, but either way, it has to lead us to the location of the statue! So we’re going to follow it!” Rinas quietly followed the sentry, hiding behind walls and entering open doors. When they turned a corner, Rinas saw the sentry go down stairs. Rinas ran towards it.

“Wait, what are you—” He knocked the sentry out by attacking it from behind. The stairs that opened the door disappeared.

“Well, neither of us saw how the stairs appeared. I thought it was worth the risk.” They both walked through a long path. When they got through the path, they saw a room but was too far away from it. There was no bridge or stones to jump on to get over there.

“Damn!” hissed Courage, “There’s no way we can make it from here!” Rinas walked to the ledge and looked down at the pitch black end of the ground. He knelt and tried to feel if there was anything there.

“Nope…just air…so is this another one of the statues’s tests?”

“I wish I could say that…but if it’s not, then we’re going to die.”

“…Well, we’re going to have to jump!”

“Are you crazy? I’m sure that I can make the jump, except I’m in your body! You can’t do it! You don’t have the training!”

“…Alright then, you’ll have to come up with some sort of a strategy to get over there. I’ll give you a minute to think about it…” Rinas looked at the path they walked through. “Ok, I take it back, you have ten seconds!”

“What’s wrong?” Rinas pointed at a huge, metal spiked ball that was rolling through the path, destroying pillars and walls while making its way towards them.

“Damn! This is not perfect timing!” Rinas ran towards it. “What in Bethumet’s name are you doing? Are you trying to get us killed?!?” He stopped and turned back. He ran full speed.

“Courage, it’s all up to you!” Rinas jumped. He jumped a lot higher than Courage thought, but it looked like he was short. He barely grabbed the ledge with his right hand.

“Oh by the gods, you made it!” Rinas lifted himself up and gasped.

“Phew…I think I know how…it feels to be a NASCAR driver…I’m trying out for track next year…” A loud break came from the other side. The spiked ball, which had two large scythes on the sides, was coming straight at Rinas. At the top of the spiked ball was a statue shaped like the sky shining, with a hand emerging from it.

“N-no…it’s the statue of Bethumet!” Courage moaned.

“Cool! I guess that means I can fight now!”

“No! We can’t fight that! Or out the very least not here! Run!” Rinas instinctively ran, as the spiked ball started to come faster towards them.

    “Wait! Why are we running?”

“Are you crazy? We have to find a place where there’s more space! This corridor’s too small! Besides, we can’t face that! Out of all the statues to find, it had to be the one of Bethumet! You can’t fight it!”

“…In case you’ve forgotten, we can’t avoid it! Just look at it this way: we get to sever the King before his soldiers even get to us!” They ran into a large, circle shaped chamber. The walls had lines that glowed green and the bottom shined light green.

“There’s no other exit…” Courage said somberly. The spiked ball figure emerged from the path, but stopped at the door and merged with the chamber. A loud gears moving like sound echoed throughout the room. Instinctively Rinas barely dodged a nearly fatal stab by the side walls. He had no time to think as he jumped and ducked under flurries of stabs.

“Oh, Courage!!!” yelled Rinas, “If you have a good spell to teach me, you can tell me anytime now!”

“I would love to, but it’ll take too long!”

“Well, thanks for your help—not!” Rinas then thought of the only spell he knew so far.  “Agni!!!” A blaze hit the statue. The attacks from the wall soon became sluggish. He chanted the spell again, this time burning a section of the wall.

“To take a basic weapon and make it so powerful…” Courage started breathing heavily.

“Haa…I guess I don’t know my…own strength!” Rinas breathed even harder than Courage did. The statue casted a mysterious magic spell that engulfed Rinas. “Crap! It’s all dark and sticky in here!”

“Rinas…I’m sorry…but it looks as if your efforts are for naught. You aren’t strong enough to break through this.”

“Well, you are! Do something about it!”

“But then—” Rinas was right. She had to do something, or else they’ll die without a fight. “Fine…let’s show Bethumet what a creation he created!” A powerful light magic blasted the dark magic away. Rinas moved his right hand in the direction of the statue.

“Shining Wave Attack!!!” A huge blast of yellow energy blew away the statue. The sound of moving gears slowly shut down. The statue began to fall down. Rinas quickly did the same…

  • Steve McNair found Dead

This is getting ridiculous. Last week we had a host of famous people die. This might not be as significant of some, but for those who watch football and know what Steve McNair has done with the Tennesse Titans and Baltimore Ravens know what we lost today:

    From the Memphis Commercial Appeal-

Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair has been shot and killed.

Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron confirmed that police were called to a residence and found McNair and a woman shot to death inside. Aaron said authorities don’t yet know the circumstances of the shooting.

“I don’t have any answers for you now as to what’s happened, who’s responsible,” he said.

Aaron said police have tentatively identified the woman but did not release her name.

McNair played 13 seasons in the NFL, including one season in Memphis, and led the Titans within a yard of forcing overtime in the 2000 Super Bowl. The former third overall draft pick also played for the Baltimore Ravens before retiring after the 2007 season.

“He was one of the finest players to play for our organization and one of the most beloved players by our fans,” Titans owner Bud Adams said in a statement. “He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had never reached, including our only Super Bowl.”

Wow....just wow...my condolences to the McNair family. That's really I can say right now...
